DAY TWO: Seminar participants took a trip on LUMCON's Research Vessel Pelican to upper Terrebonne Bay to gain a hands-on understanding of the tools and techniques used to collect oceanographic data in the wake of the Gulf Oil Spill. Participants learned how to collect hydrographic data, such as salinity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen, and sampled for nekton, plankton and benthos using standard methods.
